"What are you doing here?" – the tense exchange between Swiatek and a journalist after the Pole's defeat at the US Open

Iga Swiatek was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the US Open for the second consecutive year. The world No. 2 lost in straight sets to Amanda Anisimova (6-4, 6-3), just weeks after the Wimbledon final, which had a completely different outcome (6-0, 6-0 in favor of Swiatek).
This time, it was the American who came out on top at home, also reaching the semifinals in New York for the first time in her career. During the post-match press conference following her elimination, however, Swiatek had a tense exchange with a journalist.
"In general, the past few weeks have been very busy in terms of tennis: Wimbledon, the North American tournaments leading up to this one, and now the US Open. How tired are you right now?" the journalist asked in the press room.
"I don't know. It's not like my matches here have been exhausting," Swiatek simply replied, only to be met with the journalist's persistence: "Do you need a mental break? I'm not talking about the loss itself."
The player's response: "Why do you say that?" The discussion continued, eventually irritating the four-time Roland Garros champion, who responded to her interlocutor ironically.
Journalist: I was just wondering. It's a lot of tennis in a short time. Are you looking forward to a break?
Swiatek: Well, talk to the schedule makers. Do you need a mental break?
Journalist: Excuse me?
Swiatek: It seems like you need a mental break.
Journalist: Yes, that's true.
Swiatek: So, what are you doing here?
Journalist: I have to see the tournament through.
Swiatek: Good luck.
