Wimbledon 2025: The List of Participants Revealed, Gracheva the Only Frenchwoman Guaranteed to Play in the Main Draw

Just like the men's draw, Wimbledon has unveiled the list of participants for its women's edition. In one month, the best players in the world will compete on the court and attempt to succeed Barbora Krejcikova in the record books, who defeated Jasmine Paolini in last year's final on the London grass.
Injured in her back since November, the Czech made her return this week at the Strasbourg tournament and will be the 15th seed in the English capital as she begins the defense of her title.
Regarding the other seeds, there are no real surprises to report. Aryna Sabalenka will, of course, be the top seed, while four American players will be in the top ten in London: Coco Gauff (2nd), Jessica Pegula (3rd), Madison Keys (7th), and Emma Navarro (9th).
Ejected from the top 4 for the first time in over three years, Iga Swiatek is expected to be the 5th seed. In the French ranks, only Varvara Gracheva is currently guaranteed to participate in the main draw.
On the waiting list, Alizé Cornet, who activated her "special ranking," as well as Léolia Jeanjean and Diane Parry, are respectively 4th, 5th, and 7th and could quickly enter the main draw in case of withdrawals before the start of the tournament, but will at least compete in the qualifiers.
15th on this list, Océane Dodin will have to do the same, as will Caroline Garcia, who dropped out of the top 140 last week after disappointing results in recent months.
