On the center court of the WTA 1000 in Montreal, Rybakina faced Kostyuk while Mboko took on Bouzas Maneiro, all in the quarterfinals.

Leading 6-1, 2-1, Rybakina saw her opponent retire, securing her spot in the semifinals of the Canadian tournament. With this result, she has now reached her 10th WTA 1000 semifinal and her second in Canada. Additionally, she now has 35 wins in the 2025 season. Seeded ninth, she continues her strong momentum on outdoor hard courts, reaching back-to-back semifinals in just 10 days after her run in Washington.

In the other match, 18-year-old Canadian Mboko showed no nerves as she clinched victory in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) against Spain's Bouzas Maneiro, marking the biggest achievement of her career. Ranked 85th in the WTA, she will break into the top 50 after the tournament. Another staggering stat: she has now won over 50 matches this season. Mboko is living a true dream on home soil in Montreal.

The Kazakh will now face the young Canadian tennis sensation Mboko in the semifinals.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.

What a finish this is.. I believe King has used his boost for today. Skelp is closing strong. Two wins and he claims 1st if I lose my last prediction.

Gonna be difficult with only 2 pointers to choose from.
