WTA Australian Open draw: a potential semi-final between Gauff and Sabalenka
The Australian Open women's draw has been unveiled, and promises some exciting encounters.
Aryna Sabalenka is in Qinwen Zheng's section, which she could meet again in the quarter-finals, for a rematch of the 2024 final.
Cori Gauff, meanwhile, is in Jessica Pegula's section, for a potential semi-final against Sabalenka.
As for the lower section, Elena Rybakina has inherited a very tough draw, with a potential 1/8th final against Danielle Collins and a quarter-final against Jasmine Paolini.
Iga Swiatek is likely to play Emma Navarro in the quarter-finals and Katerina Siniakova in the first round.
