Aryna Sabalenka disappointed. The obvious favourite to win the Women's Masters, Aryna Sabalenka was stunned by an excellent Coco Gauff in the semi-finals (7-6, 6-3).

Less at ease than usual, the Belarussian was unable to find a solution against a very poised American.

Hitting the ball less hard than usual and committing a rather lunar number of unforced errors (48), the world number one won't be back for the final.

Gauff, on the other hand, produced one of her best matches of the season. Powerful on serve, aggressive in the rallies and extremely effective on the important points, the gifted 20-year-old American has secured her first Masters final.
