WTA rankings: Andreeva breaks into the Top 10, Pegula and Keys move up one place
After a second WTA 1000 in a row, the WTA rankings underwent a few changes at the start of the week.
Winner of the biggest title of her career in Dubai, Mirra Andreeva enters the Top 10 at No.9, becoming the youngest player to do so at 17 since Nicole Vaidisova in 2006,
Ahead of her, Jasmine Paolini, who lost the points from last year's Dubai title, slips back to 6th place. Jessica Pegula, now 4th, and Madison Keys 5th, her career-best ranking, benefit from this.
At the top, Aryna Sabalenka (9076 points) remains world No.1 despite her surprise elimination in the 1st round in Doha and then in the round of 16 in Dubai. She holds a 1091-point lead over her rival Iga Swiatek (7985 points).
Outside the Top 10, Clara Tauson, a finalist in Dubai, jumped 15 places to 23rd in the world, her career-best ranking.
Raducanu (55th, up 6 places), Bencic (58th, up 8 places), Alycia Parks (61st, up 13 places) and Eva Lys (77th, up 10 places) are the players who also moved up the WTA rankings this week.
Lastly, the biggest loss was suffered by Anna Kalinskaya, who dropped 15 places to 34th in the world after being eliminated in the 1st round in Dubai, when she had a final to defend.
