WTA Rankings: Sabalenka Still Comfortably on Top, Ostapenko Returns to the Top 20

The WTA rankings were updated this Monday shortly after the conclusion of the WTA 500 Stuttgart final, where Jelena Ostapenko triumphed over Aryna Sabalenka.
Sabalenka, however, maintains a significant lead over Iga Swiatek, with nearly 3,300 points separating the two players. She has now secured her 35th career week as world No. 1.
Ostapenko, who claimed her ninth career title, used this victory to leap six spots, now sitting at No. 18 in the world. The Latvian, who was ranked 35th after the Australian Open, continues her steady climb up the rankings.
In the Top 10, Emma Navarro claimed the 10th spot at the expense of Elena Rybakina. The Kazakh exits the Top 10 for the first time since February 2023 after losing the 500 points she earned from her Stuttgart title last year.
As for the French players, only Varvara Gracheva remains in the Top 100, currently ranked 66th. Meanwhile, Caroline Garcia continues her slide down the rankings, now sitting at No. 117 in the world.
