You can feel it from the practice courts," Djokovic backs Ruud's comments on the cannabis smell present in New York
"The worst thing about New York is the smell of cannabis," were the words spoken by Norwegian Casper Ruud to describe the scents that adorn New York City.
An unusual statement, to which the former world number one and four-time winner at Flushing Meadows, Djokovic, added his own. Indeed, the latter did not hesitate to confirm his junior's remarks:
"You feel it here more than anywhere else! Sometimes it's annoying, sometimes less so. Personally, I don't even like that smell; I'd describe it as really stinky. But here, it's allowed.
In a way, you have to accept it, but the reality is that you can smell it everywhere, from the practice courts until you step onto the court to play—that's just how things are.
