"I'm here to try to spoil their party," Zverev sends a message to Alcaraz and Sinner at the US Open

Alexander Zverev will indeed be present for the third round at the US Open. The German dominated Jacob Fearnley (6-4, 6-4, 6-4) and will face Félix Auger-Aliassime for a spot in the round of 16.
Still seeking his first Grand Slam title, the world number 3 appears to have regained motivation after several months of doubt following his loss in the Australian Open final earlier this season, and has Alcaraz and Sinner in his sights.
"I'm happy to have won in three sets. I certainly played better than in the first round. On some points, there was nothing I could do because he played incredibly at times.
But I tried to hang in there and stayed solid. Being here, on Louis Armstrong Stadium, doing what I love and in front of a crowd like New York's, is the best thing there is. I feel a lot of joy inside.
Against Félix (Auger-Aliassime), it's a match I've always managed quite well, so I hope to do it again this time. I like being in this situation. My opponents give their best to try to beat me and I'm very exposed, but it's inevitable.
I'd rather be number 3 than 50th. Jannik (Sinner) and Carlos (Alcaraz) deserve all the attention they're getting. But I'm here to try to spoil their party, so we'll see," he stated to Tennis World Italia.
