Carlos Alcaraz is back in action at the Cincinnati Masters 1000 after taking a break following Wimbledon.
During a press conference, he revisited his defeat in the final against Jannik Sinner, his first lost Grand Slam final: "It was a new situation for me to lose a Grand Slam final, but you have to be prepared for it.
Of course, I never wished for it to happen, but I left the court proud and happy, smiling, thinking that at some point, it had to happen because it’s happened to every tennis player in history.
It took me a few hours to get over that loss, knowing I still had a lot to improve on. I could only be grateful for having experienced a Wimbledon final, and I walked away proud of what I achieved.
