Zheng crushes Paolini to reach the last four of the WTA Finals!
In the purple group's only match at stake, Qinwen Zheng gave Jasmine Paolini a tennis lesson to reach the semi-finals of the WTA Masters.
The world No. 7, who was still in with a chance of qualifying after beating Elena Rybakina, needed just an hour to beat the Italian.
Aided by her serve (12 aces) and a highly offensive game (24 winners), she gave her opponent no time to breathe, breaking five times.
This victory takes her through to the semi-finals, but she'll have to wait and see who her next opponent will be. For her part, Paolini is still involved in the doubles tournament alongside Sara Errani.
