Zverev: An incredible opponent and an incredible atmosphere!

Alexander Zverev came close to elimination against an excellent Tallon Griekspoor this Saturday in the 3rd round of the French Open (3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 in over 4 hours). The world n°4 found himself 4-1 down in the 5th set, double break against him, but managed to turn the situation around. To do so, he was able to count on the support of the Court Philippe Chatrier crowd, where the atmosphere was once again very hot. The German paid tribute to his opponent and the spectators after the match.

Alexander Zverev: "Incredible. Incredible match, incredible player (Griekspoor). He's incredibly dangerous. I always have trouble against him, I don't like playing him. All the credit goes to him. It was one or two points here and there that made the difference. He's an incredible player and fighter, he fights right to the end.

The atmosphere was incredible today too. I loved every second of it. Thank you for all the support I've got here, I don't think I've got that in any other Grand Slam tournament. It's something I really appreciate. See you in two days!"
