Zverev secures his 73rd career semifinal after his victory in Stuttgart

Facing Nakashima on Stuttgart's central court, Zverev did not falter to overcome his opponent of the day. As the top seed of the tournament, the German made the difference in decisive moments despite strong resistance from the 31st player in the world.
Effective on his first serve balls (4 love games), Zverev also showed opportunism on his break points (2/3). After 1 hour and 30 minutes of play, he qualifies for the semifinals where he will face the winner of the match between Shelton and Lehecka, and in doing so, becomes one of the active players with the most career semifinals (73). He also remains undefeated in Germany with seven victories.
Though he is not a fan of grass, the world No. 3 still aims to surpass his best performance on this surface, which was reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon last year, a match he lost to Fritz in five sets.
