Zverev, victorious over Griekspoor in Munich: "Whether it's a rollercoaster or not, I just want to win"

Alexander Zverev had to work hard to reach his second semifinal of the ATP Tour season. At the Munich tournament, the German world No. 3 overcame Tallon Griekspoor in a thrilling match (6-7, 7-6, 6-4), during which the Dutchman served for the match in the second set.
Ultimately, Zverev—who has been lacking confidence lately and lost to the same Griekspoor in Indian Wells—managed to exact his revenge.
"I’m really happy. I finally won a tight match like this. I’ve lost a few in recent months, and I kept telling myself that I had to win one eventually.
I’m pleased with how I pulled it off, especially when I was down 0/40 in my second service game of the third set. To be honest, whether it’s a rollercoaster or not, I don’t care anymore. I just want to win. In the key moments, the crowd pushed me.
Tallon and I always play weird matches against each other. In Indian Wells, I served for the match when I was serving for the match, then he served for the match before getting broken himself.
So, you never know what’s going to happen between us. It’s always entertaining, and the matches often go down to the wire. I’m glad today went my way," he elaborated to ATP media after his victory.
