Anterior Cruciate Ligament. It is one of the ligaments that connect thigh bone and leg bone underneath the knee. When it tears, it blows up like a balloon into pieces. So they will take a piece of hamstring muscle or some other tissue and insert it as ligament, pinning it to the bone.

ACL is really painful. Unfortunately I too had to undergo ACL reconstruction surgery. At his age, he needs lot of spirit to get back again..

Not many guys remember it but their match at the Japan Open was one of highest quality Tennis I had ever seen.Forehand and Backhand winnere were from all Angles.Its a shame what happened to these two afterwards
