The impact of the war on tennis in Ukraine: financial aid, foundations, governing bodies and all‑round headaches
Since February 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Ukrainian sport has been heavily affected by human, structural and economic losses.
Tennis has, of course, not been spared.
While Ukrainian athletes have had to rethink their entire organization, an entire country, behind the scenes, has had to adapt and change its training conditions. This extends all the way to the highest level, where professional players have spoken out, trying as best they can to help their nation.
Toni told everything he could to Felix, he made him work on every basics of tennis while telling him what's important and what's not, what to think and what to avoid thinking, so that he can get to the next level, maybe it's already time to show it (even if he aims RG, he said it everything before is just preparation), I'm waiting for a great performance from both of them
Let's see against Sinner though. They have an even h2h if i recall correctly (1-1) and both on clay, and Sinner won the latest match.
TOO GOOD!!!
In this tournament
But for FO he did not need that did he? It's like he plays on another planet at FO and not cuz it is best of 5, the court is bigger right? It's different than rest of clay tournaments, am i right? Seems to feel more comfortable there.
Pleople said that becuase he got to RG 2020 without a single clay title he would not win it. Even cuz of weather, the new balls, and the roof. But damn nadal shut them all up. He can win RG at anytime of the year, with any type of balls, againts even #1 (nole) and without having won a single clay title coming to FO, and still win it for the 13th time.
Just gotta admire the guy.
