I saw that final too, as did practically everyone here. I saw every stat but UE in favour of Federer. 14 points clear of Novak. Ran more distance than Novak despite being 5 years older. This just proves what this man is capable of at 38.

Djoko Fan, never nice if one's favorite player loses, but I am more at peace in the sense that Djoko was totally outplayed by the better player on the night, one can do nothing about it.

What stings me, is the undjoko like way he lost against Thiem, 4-1 lead in final TB, and then went all passive and Thiem pounced, with 5 points in a row. That one hurt him most, and I think it had a impact on him tonight, the plan was to beat Thiem in a epic, which would boasted his confidence, and then play a good loose match again Fed, win or lose. It doesn't matter who wins this match. Both of them has won this tournament many times. One of the next generation players will win in the end cause this is the max they can do. All the next generation of players are absolutely pathetic in the best of 5 and totally inconsistent when it matters the most. Mentally very weak.
