I don't like novak to be honest. But I never disrespect him a bit. It hurts to see my man on the injury list all the time and this guy beating everyone's ass but you just got to respect what he is achieving. He cannot control what the competition is like in front of him. He plays tennis and he beats them. He destroyed rafa at AO 2019 and then he played one of the best matches to beat Rafa in his yard. As a rafa fan it was tough to take to know that rafa is mostly carrying some injury and is past his prime but this guy is still in supreme state and smoking everyone. But yeah have to accept reality. He is achieving things players can only dream about. He is one step from a calender slam. Rafa and roger never have been close to that in their entire career. So I don't like novak but I respect him. I expect ppl to just be respectful to these 3 legends irrespective of who you support. After these 3 are gone you would realise what you guys missed.

If you were true tennis fans, you would support Novak in winning the grand slam this year.

If tonight's match is a good battle, it would be great. But only people who watch tennis will know about it.

Additionally, if any other player wins the tournament, it will make news only in tennis circles.

If Novak wins the Grand Slam, this would make news across the board and people outside tennis would take notice. The reach would be far wider.

This achievement would make waves across all sports, therefore a great advertising coup for our sport.

Plus, if Novak won, it would position him as one of the greatest athletes of all time across all sport.

Amazing to read about opinions here what is true tennis fan, and especially about what is good for tennis in context of outcome of tonight's match, and this tournament as well. So much elaborating on fairly simple things. A true tennis fan is the one who loves the game, follows it a lot, and is giving his own time to watch tennis a lot, and going through spectrum of emotions while doing it. Some explanations and thoughts about what is good for tennis, or better for tennis regarding who is going to win tonight, are beyond laughable. Answer is also very simple: the best for tennis is, and the best advert for it would be to have a spectacular match tonight. That's it! Those who have Novak, or Sasa as own favorite player they would support and scream for own favorite. Other fans may, or may not pick one to support while watching, depending on tennis style preference, and surely to hope for a great match. The saddest thing is to se a tennis fan, who is screaming, and rooting for a player because he hates other player. It's a complete waste of own time to do that. A wise man said: "hate is a poison one is taking, thinking he'll poison other person by doing that!" I'm Novak's big time supporter, and obviously I would love him to win, but I always have respect for his opponents, and I want to see and would love to witness a big tennis fight. Since I'm investing my time watching it, I want it to be worth it. There fore I have big respect for his biggest rivals. That's the time when usually a battle royal happens, and that memory stays with me forever. I honestly doubt it I would've had such great memories, and so many emotions if there was no around Novak's great rivals. That's why I'm thankful to them as well, besides the great show they managed to put on tennis court so many times in general.

Rafa's US 2017 was very easy. But Djoker has now had 3 incredibly easy slams this year! They may be top 3 players, but they are not truly great players. Not even one GS champion in 3 slams this year! Crazy.

You yourself said 2010-2015 was the golden era and he went 4/9 against Rafa in slams even when Rafa was injured for 3 years in that era. The players from next gen are already behind the big three (considering the age) but they will certainly win at one moment. The only one who is giving some kind of resistance on all surfaces is Novak. I’m rooting for Nole, but love Rafa and Fed. Like Stan, Zev, Med, Tsitsi, Felix, Monfils…can’t put all of them here. Watched tennis as a kid so remembering
Connors, Borg, Mc Enroe, Lendl, Becker, Agassi, Sampras, Safin still can’t put all of them. So gents and ladies, older or younger just enjoy, for diverse reasons we like someone more, doesn’t mean we should hate others, because no matter what they are not here by pure luck, they are real athletes! I read your comments carefully, but I have to admit I can't understand your point.
I've been watching tennis as long as you've been (probably even longer) and I remember very good all the guys you mentioned. Great players indeed.
But are you pretending that they are as important for the game as the Big Three?
OK, I agree with you that from one hand their dominance in the last decade or so can annoy somebody, but from the other hand aren't the matches between them ones of the best in the tennis history?
Just remember Fed - Nadal Wimbledon 2007, 2008,
Nadal - Djokovic AO 2011, Nadal - Djokovic RG 2012, 2013, 2021, Wimbledon 2018, and many, many others.
You may not agree, but exactly this trio has put the tennis in another level.
I'm absolutely convinced that in fifty years all names you mentioned will be slightly forgotten. But Roger, Rafa and Novak won't be.
I remember back in 2009 when Roger completed his career GS at RG, I rooted very much for him. So I don't see anything wrong if some people outside of Novak 's fans circle root for him to complete calendar GS.
It will be great for the history.
If in a couple of years some younger player will be going to do the same, I'll root for him from all my heart.
