After rain it was clear the humidity had dropped and rafa able to get slightly higher bounce and more kick from topspin. Lots of people saying nadal got lucky with rain, but to be honest it was only the non sunny conditions that gave zverev a chance in the first place. Had it been dry sunny all the way through i would think rafa would have won more easily . Same story back in that rainy FO final vs djoker.

Rafa got a very lucky and timely rain delay today, can't bring myself to say he didn't deserve it, played outstanding tennis this week at times, but he got very lucky.

I watched enough tennis to know that Rafa can never be counted especially on these courts. And what’s this rubbish that Rafa can’t win grand slams?? He lost one match (maybe two now) on clay and has pretty much swept through the rest of the field. For those who can’t see the improvement Rafa has made aren’t true tennis fans. Come RG he is the favorite in best of 5. And if you can’t see this, you’re ridiculous.

Rafa got very lucky with the rain break. But the way he came out after it was clutch as fuck!!!

TBH the match with novak was the real final for me. novak looked great and rafa my champ put on a superb performance! it's cool how the great champions bring out the best in each other ☺

kudos to sascha for a great week of tennis! tough draw having to face rafa in the final in order to defend his title. If not, he would have won again for sure.

Zverev is a very good tennis youngster but Rafa will definitely give him a good tennis lesson.....Come on Rafa, you can do it !
