The news comes as a bombshell: Carlos Alcaraz and Juan Carlos Ferrero are parting ways, just days before the start of the 2026 season.

While nothing foreshadowed this, Alcaraz announced the news this Wednesday. Ferrero then reacted on his Instagram account: "Today is a difficult day. One of those days where it's hard to find the right words.

Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when there are so many shared experiences behind us. We worked hard, grew together, and shared unforgettable moments. I want to thank you for the time, the trust, the learning, and above all, for the people who surrounded me throughout this journey.

"We formed an incredible team"

I take with me the laughter, the challenges overcome, the conversations, the support in difficult times, and the satisfaction of having been part of something truly unique. Today, a very important chapter of my life comes to an end.

I close it with nostalgia, but also with pride and enthusiasm for what lies ahead. I know that everything I've experienced has prepared me to be better. Thank you, Carlos, for your trust, your efforts, and for making me feel so special through your way of competing.

I wish you all the best, both professionally and personally. I also want to thank the entire team for making my work easier throughout these years.

With you, I learned that work is not just about tasks or results, but also about the people who accompany you. Each of you has left an indelible mark on me.

We formed an incredible team despite the difficulties, and I am sure you will continue to achieve great success. I would have liked to continue. I am convinced that good memories and good people always find a way to cross paths again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

I feel he should have done this after the USO to allow time to transition to a new coach and team. Or waited until after the AO. It's too close to the AO right now.

He doesn't have a new coach. The new guy was his number 2 for a while.

This one must hurt Juan Carlos. Ouch. To be ditched for the number 2 on the team.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
