Even though he beat Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon on Sunday, Carlos Alcaraz continues to be greatly impressed by the world No.2. The Spaniard can't believe the Serb managed to reach the final of the tournament despite undergoing knee surgery on June 05. He explained in a press conference.

Carlos Alcaraz: "I still think Novak is Superman because what he has done in this tournament, with surgery just a few weeks before the start of the tournament, is incredible. It's unbelievable.

Honestly, as I said on the court, I was talking to my team about the incredible work Novak has done to give himself the chance to play in the tournament and reach the final. It's an extraordinary thing for me. I beat him today, but for me, Novak is still like Superman."

In time, I believe that we'll be calling him the 👑 like his fellow countryman Rafa Nadal & who knows, maybe, providing he stays fit & healthy he might even surpass Rafa's achievements.

Yes, king of clay.
You should state that, because there is only one Real King........all tennis fans know that.
Actually facts and results speak for themselves.

@StAdam … all tennis fans also know that Rafa is called the King Of Clay (rightfully so) so I’m not sure why you asked what he was king of. Facts and results DO speak for themselves, Nadal is the only man to have 10+ French Open titles with 14, the next closest player during the Open Era is Bjorn Borg with 6. Nadal also has 63 clay court titles, and an Open Era record of 81 straight wins on Clay

I asked because he was mentioned as The King, not as a King of clay.......Big difference!
Did you miss the previous posts?

@StAdam no I was able to read everything on here. I’m simply saying why people would refer to him as a King, especially on clay, because of the stats I listed. I’m also not sure why there is animosity being thrown my way as I’ve done nothing wrong, nor talked badly about Djokovic in any way, shape, or form. I don’t get why people need to get SO angry over amazing tennis

@ StAdam.......All real tennis fans acknowledge that Rafa is called the "King of Clay" for his fourteen (that's 14) Grand Slam titles at the French Open.

Omnipresent cameras, line judges on the verge of extinction, mistakes that persist nonetheless: technology fascinates as much as it divides. Tennis, at a crossroads, is still searching for its balance between progress and emotion.

Since February 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Ukrainian sport has been heavily affected by human, structural and economic losses. Tennis has, of course, not been spared. While Ukrainian athletes have had to rethink their entire organization, an entire country, behind the scenes, has had to adapt and change its training conditions. This extends all the way to the highest level, where professional players have spoken out, trying as best they can to help their nation.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
