Isner: "I don't think Djokovic will play the ATP Finals"
Doubt hangs over Turin. John Isner thinks Novak Djokovic will skip the 2025 ATP Finals, but Sam Querrey is not at all of the same opinion.
In the latest episode of the Nothing Major podcast, John Isner stated that, in his opinion, Novak Djokovic will not participate in the 2025 ATP Finals.
"I don't think so. And I hope I'm wrong. But at 38 years old, with the schedule he's had, it's absurd. He must already be thinking about 2026. And then good luck to those who want to face Sinner and Alcaraz in Paris."
But facing Isner, Sam Querrey predicts the opposite:
"I think he will play. He seemed in good spirits in Shanghai. Maybe he'll go to Turin and tell himself: 'I can beat Sinner and Alcaraz in straight sets.' But eighteen consecutive qualifications... it's insane."
An optimistic reasoning, shared halfway by Jack Sock, while Steve Johnson, in a burst of laughter, admitted he hopes Djokovic doesn't play, just to make the qualification race even more thrilling.
It remains to be seen what choice Djokovic will decide to make, with the competition starting next November 10th.
