A crowning achievement before the WTA Finals: Sabalenka receives her World No.1 trophy in Riyadh

Almost unstoppable this season, Aryna Sabalenka confirms her reign over women's tennis. Crowned world number one for the second consecutive year, the Belarusian enters the legend by matching the greatest champions. Her goal now: to finish the year in style on the court in Riyadh.

Proof of remarkable consistency throughout the 2025 season, Aryna Sabalenka will logically finish the year at the top of the WTA rankings. The Belarusian, winner of four Grand Slam tournaments (two Australian Opens and two US Opens), thus retains her status as world number one for the second consecutive year.

In the history of women's tennis, Sabalenka becomes the seventh player to achieve this feat, joining Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Serena Williams and Ash Barty.

She received her World No.1 trophy this Saturday in Riyadh, just before the start of the first singles matches of the WTA Finals. Competing in the tournament, Sabalenka will face Jasmine Paolini tomorrow, with the ambition of winning this major title that is missing from her record.
