"A huge thank you to my physiotherapist," Alcaraz's first words after his Tokyo title
Carlos Alcaraz continues to break records. At just 22 years old, the Spaniard has won his 8th trophy this season, all in 10 finals. An impressive number that continues to position him as one of the successors to the greatest players of all time.
Victorious 6-4, 6-4 against American Taylor Fritz, Alcaraz made sure to congratulate his opponent of the day, while also paying tribute to his team:
"I want to start with Taylor, you're a heck of a tennis player and a great athlete. It's always tough playing against you. Congrats on your tournament and congrats to your team. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Thank you to my team for the work, I'm lucky to have you by my side. A huge thank you to my physiotherapist who helped me stay in good shape during this tournament."
As a reminder, Alcaraz had a scare at the start of the tournament when he twisted his ankle against Baez in the first round.

Let's call criticise the Russians. And let's all join in our praise for the western players even after they cheat and dope.
I wonder what the westerners would do to djokovic or Medvedev if they doped!
Such racists.
