Alcaraz Becomes the Tenth Player in History to Reach Three Consecutive Wimbledon Finals
After 2023 and 2024, Carlos Alcaraz will be in the final of the 2025 Wimbledon edition. The Spaniard, already a two-time defending champion, will aim for a third consecutive title at just 22 years old.
While waiting to learn his opponent for Sunday's final, Alcaraz has joined nine other players who had already achieved the feat of playing in the Wimbledon final for three consecutive years: John Newcombe, Björn Borg, John McEnroe, Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.
It is worth noting that only three players, before Alcaraz today, had accomplished such a feat before turning 23: Borg, Becker, and Nadal.
