Alcaraz drops a set against Marozsan but qualifies for the third round of Roland-Garros
Carlos Alcaraz faced a challenging second round at Roland-Garros against Fabien Marozsan. The Hungarian, known for having previously defeated Carlos Alcaraz in Rome in 2023, had the tools to bother the Spaniard.
He proved this by winning the second set against Alcaraz. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't enough as the Murcian ultimately claimed victory with a score of 6-1, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Despite losing a set, Alcaraz spent only 2 hours and 8 minutes on the court and becomes the first player born in the 2000s to reach 20 wins at Roland-Garros.
In the post-match interview, he entertained the Parisian crowd by imitating them with a smile.
In the third round, he will face either Damir Dzumhur or Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
