Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final again!
Carlos Alcaraz has just qualified for the final of this 2024 edition of Wimbledon. Initially struggling against Daniil Medvedev, he raised his game to turn things around and win in almost three hours and four sets (6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4).
Like last year at the same stage of the competition, the defending champion managed to neutralize the Russian. Only the first set differed from last season's duel, giving the Spaniard time to find his rhythm. The rest of the match left little room for doubt. The world n°3 was more offensive and more precise. The statistics bear this out: he hit 55 winners against 37 unforced errors, while Medvedev's ratio was 31 winners against 24 unforced errors.
In Sunday's final, Alcaraz will attempt to retain his crown. To do so, he will face the winner of the second semi-final between Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti.
