Alcaraz one set away from Wimbledon final!
Carlos Alcaraz has one foot in the final. After conceding the first set in a tie-break, the Spaniard got the better of his opponent and is now just one set away from victory (6-7, 6-3, 6-4).
Faced with a fine Dannil Medvedev, the title-holder gradually came into his own. Although he didn't completely dominate his opponent, he seemed to be a cut above the rest, managing the key moments of the match to perfection.
Now much more solid on serve and breaking when he needed to, Alcaraz is increasingly dictating play and heading straight for a second consecutive Grand Slam final.
Very accurate in his choices (40 winners, 28 unforced errors), the world number 3 is putting a lot of pressure on Medvedev's shoulders, who will have to pull off quite a feat if he is to turn the match around.
