Alcaraz not bothered by playing conditions at Indian Wells: "It's something I enjoy playing with"
Easily victorious against Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16 at Indian Wells (6-1, 6-1), the Spaniard particularly enjoys this tournament.
The reason: the windy playing conditions seem to perfectly suit the world number three.
"Every time I play on this court, I feel good because of the playing conditions and the balls. There is wind almost every day, it's something I enjoy playing with. Everything seems to match my style. I have time to take the ball in defense and find good situations in attack," said the Spaniard to our colleagues at Tennis World Italia.
Double defending champion, the Spaniard could win the event for the third time if he continues his momentum. With 20 consecutive matches won in California, Alcaraz willingly compares this tournament to those he enjoys playing in Spain:
"If I had to compare this tournament to another where I feel unstoppable, I would probably choose one in Spain. Madrid or Barcelona, I love playing there."
Alcaraz will face Francisco Cerundolo on Friday in the quarter-finals.
