All of a sudden, I lost all my energy, Krejcikova explains reasons for her Wimbledon exit

Barbora Krejcikova, the 2024 Wimbledon champion, was stopped in the third round by Emma Navarro (2-6, 6-3, 6-4).

Returning to competition in May after months away due to a back injury, the two-time Grand Slam winner endured a tough afternoon, shedding a few tears while serving to stay in the match.

Speaking to reporters after this painful defeat, Krejcikova explained the reasons for her drop in level after winning the first set:

"During the first part of the match, I felt really good and was enjoying my time on the court. But all of a sudden, I lost all my energy and couldn’t recover it. At first, I thought it was because of food, that I had eaten too early.

That’s why I started eating bananas and all those sugary things, but it didn’t help. In reality, I felt worse and worse as the match went on.
