Disappointment for Bianca Andreescu. The Canadian, the 2019 US Open winner and now ranked 102nd in the world, will not participate in Roland-Garros this year. The former world No. 4 had started her campaign at Porte d'Auteuil in the best possible way, winning without conceding a single game against Yao Xinxin (6-0, 6-0 in 56 minutes).

Against Nao Hibino, 30 years old and ranked 200th in the world, Andreescu had more winners (43 compared to 30), but was too inconsistent in the rally (33 unforced errors) and on her serve (5 double faults).

Despite the quick win of the first set, the 24-year-old player, who even had a match point in the second set at 5 games to 3, eventually succumbed after an indecisive match (2-6, 7-6, 6-4).

Hibino qualifies for the final round of the qualifiers where she will face Ella Seidel, ranked 114th in the world. The German, for her part, had a tough time defeating Stefanie Voegele (6-3, 0-6, 6-3), then Panna Udvardy (3-6, 6-2, 6-3) to fight for a place in the main draw.

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...

TT- Your pop up ads almost make the app unusable.

FYI- Ive never bought a single item from any of them after years of using your app, a goal that started as short term but has developed into long term.
