Andreeva Falls in Third Round in Montreal

Mirra Andreeva was eliminated in the third round of the WTA 1000 in Montreal, defeated by McCartney Kessler (7-6, 6-4).
The match, filled with breaks (13 in total), saw numerous momentum shifts. Andreeva served twice for the first set at 5-4 and 6-5, but Kessler managed to break back each time. In the tie-break, the American strung together three consecutive points from 4-5 to 7-5 to take the lead on the scoreboard.
The second set continued in the same vein with a total of five breaks. However, Andreeva stumbled mid-set and injured her ankle. Trailing by a double break, she was unable to recover, and Kessler remained solid when closing out the match.
