Anisimova Overcomes Noskova to Reach Second Wimbledon Quarterfinal

Seeded No. 13 at Wimbledon, Amanda Anisimova advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Linda Noskova (6-2, 5-7, 6-4).
The American is enjoying a strong 2025 season, having claimed the biggest title of her career in Doha last February. At this year's Wimbledon, she started her campaign in the best possible way, crushing Putintseva 6-0, 6-0 in just 45 minutes, before securing wins against Zarazua (6-4, 6-3) and Galfi (6-3, 5-7, 6-3).
Against Noskova, Anisimova came close to elimination. The first set quickly went her way, but she faltered in the second, dropping her serve at 5-5, allowing Noskova to level the match.
Trailing 3-1 in the final set, Anisimova staged a comeback, winning five of the last six games. After 2022, she returns to the quarterfinals and is set to break into the top 10 following the tournament.
She now holds the most grass-court wins this season (10 victories), including a runner-up finish at Queen’s, a quarterfinal in Bad Homburg, and now a quarterfinal at Wimbledon.
