At Roland Garros, play has already stopped on all the side courts!
The rain is already disrupting matches in Paris. After just over an hour of tennis, it's already raining at Roland-Garros, and all play except on the Chatrier and Lenglen courts has come to a halt.
For the time being, play can only continue on the two central courts, and the forecasts are not very encouraging. Indeed, a succession of rainy spells and thunderstorms is forecast until at least 10pm. The headache continues for the organizers.
No official announcement has yet been made concerning the postponement of matches or the addition of some duels on the covered courts. In any case, another rainy day lies ahead in Paris, and it seems highly unlikely that the matches scheduled for today will go ahead. All we can do now is hope for a few scattered sunny spells and a little more tennis!
