At the US Open, a player's trophy is stolen from her hotel room
Sorana Cirstea, who won in Cleveland last week, had a very unfortunate experience at the US Open. While her trophy was in her hotel room, it was stolen.
On her Instagram account, the Romanian player made an appeal for the thief to return it to her.
"Whoever stole my Cleveland trophy from room 314, please return it to me.
It has no material value, only sentimental value. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."
