After his exceptional run in Ohio, where he reached the semifinals (defeat against Sinner), Terence Atmane was set to continue with the US Open qualifiers (August 24–September 7).
Unfortunately, the 23-year-old player, dealing with a foot injury, is unable to compete and has decided to skip the American Grand Slam.
"Atmane has been suffering from a sprained big toe with a grade 2 flexor injury in his left foot since the Toronto Masters 1000.
On top of that, he experienced hip pain following a final training session deemed insufficiently convincing. The decision was therefore made to withdraw from the US Open to prioritize the remainder of the season," reports L'Équipe.
