"I'll probably go to bed late, but I'll try to bring my best tennis," Alcaraz discusses his doubles pairing with Raducanu at the US Open
After winning the Cincinnati tournament against Sinner (5-0, ret.), Alcaraz won’t have much rest as he’ll immediately shift focus to the mixed doubles at the US Open. Paired with Raducanu, this highly anticipated duo will begin their campaign against the Pegula-Draper pair this Tuesday.
"The schedule isn’t ideal because I play tomorrow, but I love the tournament concept. It’s going to be a new experience for me. I’ll really enjoy participating and playing with Emma. It’s going to be tough against Draper and Pegula.
But we’ll try to do our best. I’ll probably go to bed late, but I’ll try to bring my best tennis to help Emma win," he said during the press conference in Cincinnati.
As a reminder, the brand-new mixed doubles format takes place from August 19 to 20. It features 16 teams competing for a $1 million prize for the winning pair.
