ATP Acapulco: Zverev, Shelton, Ruud… an explosive lineup already confirmed for 2026
A dream cast is shaping up for the ATP 500 in Acapulco. The first big names announced promise a spectacular 2026 edition, following a 2025 edition marked by numerous withdrawals and the feat of Tomas Machac.
The ATP 500 in Acapulco, favored by many players before tackling the Sunshine Double (Indian Wells-Miami), will feature a strong lineup for the 2026 edition.
This season, it was Tomas Machac who lifted the trophy at the Mexican tournament, defeating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final (7-6, 6-2). However, the week had been marked by numerous withdrawals or pullouts from the seeded players, victims of food poisoning.
This Wednesday, the tournament revealed the first players who have announced their participation. Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Lorenzo Musetti, Frances Tiafoe, Flavio Cobolli, Casper Ruud, Grigor Dimitrov, and finalist Davidovich Fokina are expected to be in the mix.
The event will take place from February 23 to 28, 2026.
