Game, Set and Maths, an X account specialized in tennis statistics, has revealed the shortest matches played on the ATP and WTA tours, as well as in Grand Slam events.
WTA 2025: Kasatkina and a record of 42 minutes!
The 2025 WTA season will be remembered for one number: 42 minutes, the time it took Daria Kasatkina to sweep past Polina Kudermetova (6-0, 6-0) in Doha.
Right behind, three other lightning-fast performances stood out:
- 44 minutes: Diana Shnaider overwhelms Sevastova (6-0, 6-0) in Madrid
- 44 minutes: Anisimova blasts Putintseva (6-0, 6-0) on the grass of Wimbledon
- 45 minutes: Osorio delights Bogota against Higuita Barraza (6-0, 6-1)
- 47 minutes: Gauff dispatches Kenin in an American derby in Miami (6-0, 6-0)
ATP 2025: De Minaur, Marozsan and Bublik in lightning mode
On the ATP side, the match between Alex de Minaur and Grigor Dimitrov in Monte-Carlo was the shortest of the year: just 44 minutes (6-0, 6-0).
But other rapid performances are also worth mentioning:
- 45 minutes: Marozsan crushes Sell in Geneva (6-1, 6-1)
- 51 minutes: Gaston soars past Atmane in Metz in a heated atmosphere (6-4, 6-1)
- 53 minutes: Ofner blankets Gakhov in Geneva (6-1, 6-2)
