Auger-Aliassime praises Sinner and Alcaraz: "Carlos has had a unique rise, Jannik has improved enormously".
Félix Auger-Aliassime is back at a good level. After a long period of doubt in 2023, the Canadian, ranked 6th in the world at the end of 2022, reached the final of the Madrid Masters 1000 last year.
Now ranked 29th in the world, the Quebecer hopes to continue his climb up the rankings in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, the 24-year-old spoke of the progress made by Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who shared the four Grand Slams last season (the Italian won the Australian Open and the US Open, while the Spaniard triumphed at Roland Garros and Wimbledon).
"We saw it with Carlos Alcaraz. From the moment he won his first Grand Slam, we felt there was something really special about him.
His rise was unique, as he became the youngest number 1 in the world.
Jannik Sinner is a little different, because just two years ago he was outside the top 10, but he's progressed enormously in recent months.
We've always known he had qualities, but the year he's just finished was a very good one. He's also started to beat some of the guys he'd previously struggled against.
