Boisson Receives Wild Card for July's WTA 250 Tournament in Hamburg
After her outstanding performance at Roland-Garros, which marked her breakthrough as she reached the semifinals in her very first Grand Slam, Loïs Boisson will return to clay courts in the coming weeks.
Absent from Wimbledon after losing in the first round of qualifying to Carson Branstine, the 22-year-old Frenchwoman has received a wild card to compete in the WTA 250 tournament in Hamburg.
In Germany, the world No. 65 will look to rediscover her winning form on her favorite surface before transitioning to the North American hardcourt swing, featuring the WTA 1000 events in Montreal and Cincinnati, ahead of the US Open at the end of the summer.
In Hamburg, Boisson joins a field that includes defending champion Anna Bondar, Yulia Putintseva, Eva Lys, Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Dayana Yastremska, Tatjana Maria, Wang Xinyu, and fellow French players Diane Parry and Elsa Jacquemot.
