Boisson to Make Her WTA 1000 Debut in a Few Weeks

After her breakthrough at Roland-Garros, France’s new rising star, Loïs Boisson, made her grass-court debut during the Wimbledon qualifiers. A novice on the surface, she fell in the first round to Canada’s Branstine (6-2, 6-7, 6-4). Her opponent later reached the main draw, where she was defeated by world number one Sabalenka.

While the young French player has taken her first steps on tennis’ legendary surface, she will also experience another major tournament on the women’s circuit. Indeed, Boisson is entered in the Montreal tournament and will make her WTA 1000 debut from July 27 to August 7.

In the meantime, she will compete in the WTA 125 in Bastad (July 7–12) as well as the WTA 250 in Hamburg (July 14–20).
