Boisson Wins Her First Title in Hamburg and Enters the Top 50

In Hamburg, Loïs Boisson was only playing in her second WTA tournament. The Frenchwoman faced Anna Bondar in the final this Sunday.

Despite being down a double break in the first set, Boisson managed to recover in a disjointed opening set.

Once again, the Hungarian was the first to break in the second set, but the French player fought back and broke Bondar at 4-3.

When serving for the match, despite facing a break point from Bondar, Boisson held her nerve and closed out the match 7-5, 6-3.

She thus claims her first WTA title and will enter the Top 50 on Monday for the first time in her career.
