Boulter on a possible match against fiancé De Minaur: "I hope it doesn't come to that and that we win before doubles"
Alex De Minaur and Katie Boulter will meet again on a tennis court on Tuesday, but each to represent the colors of their countries (Australia and the UK).
This is a rare situation for the two engaged couples, who could face each other in a decisive doubles match.
De Minaur was very impressive on his debut against Tomas Martin Etcheverry, but the Australian doubles team of Matthew Ebden and Ellen Perez were soundly beaten in two sets by the Argentinians.
In a press conference, Boulter spoke of what is bound to be a special encounter: "I don't know about a match against him, I think it's going to be terrible, but at the same time a popcorn match.
But yeah, I hope it doesn't come to that and we win before doubles."
A few days ago, De Minaur had expressed the fact that he would prefer to play with his fiancée "as a partner rather than against her".
