Boulter on his match against Swiatek in the United Cup: "I'm looking forward to it. I've got nothing to lose.
Great Britain has qualified for the quarter-finals of the United Cup. On this occasion, they will face Poland.
At a press conference, Katie Boulter revealed how she was feeling and how she was apprehensive about her match against Iga Swiatek.
She said: "I'm very happy to have been able to show my best tennis.
Even though I didn't feel very good on the court, I felt better in my first match. Never underestimate Gadecki, she's a very good player.
I know what she's capable of and how strong she's going to be. She's got a powerful shot. I just had to stay in front, conserve my energy and do everything I could to stop her.
I managed to do that, so I'm very satisfied with my level today. Obviously, training is very different from matches. I know Swiatek as a champion. I know that she'll put all her intensity into every ball and that I won't be able to get away.
I'm looking forward to it. I've got nothing to lose, there's no pressure on us. I don't see us as favourites. We've got nothing to lose, we just have to play and enjoy the moment."
Great Britain take on Poland this Thursday.
