Bublik Disgusted by Mensik: "This Guy Isn’t Even in the Top 10, What the Hell Is This?"

Jakub Mensik continues his impressive run. The 19-year-old Czech player, who earlier this season claimed his first Masters 1000 title by defeating Novak Djokovic in Miami, has now advanced to the quarterfinals of another Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid after eliminating Alexander Bublik (6-3, 6-2).
The world No. 23 will face either Alexander Zverev or Francisco Cerundolo for a spot in the semifinals. During the match, the Kazakh, visibly frustrated by his opponent’s level of play, vented his frustration to chair umpire Mohamed Lahyani during a changeover.
"Mohamed, do you remember when tennis used to be easy? Five years ago, playing tennis was so simple. We had random guys in the top 50 who barely moved. Now, this guy (Mensik) isn’t even in the top 10. What the hell is this?" questioned the world No. 75, as captured by Tennis TV cameras.
