Bublik, Victor Over Khachanov, Aims for Second Title in Halle

Already a champion in Halle in 2023, Alexander Bublik is back in the final on the German grass.
The Kazakh delivered a brilliant run, successively defeating Müller, Sinner, and Machac before facing Karen Khachanov today in the semifinals. The match was tight and unpredictable, but Bublik emerged victorious with a score of 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 after two hours of play. He fired 48 winners to 35 unforced errors, along with 19 aces.
In strong form since his Roland-Garros quarterfinal, Bublik will face Daniil Medvedev in the final. He holds a record of six losses in as many meetings against the Russian, but this will be their first encounter on grass.
A great opportunity for the world No. 45 to finally overcome one of his toughest rivals and secure a seeded status at Wimbledon.
