By winning his 25th consecutive match, Sinner joins a prestigious list in the 21st century
Unstoppable against Casper Ruud on Thursday (6-0, 6-1), Jannik Sinner secured his place in the Rome semifinals for the first time in his career.
The world No. 1, who made his return to competition at this tournament, also extended his winning streak to 25 matches on the tour. This run began in Shanghai last October.
He has now become the fifth player in the 21st century, after Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray, to reach the milestone of 25 consecutive victories. A streak he aims to continue tomorrow against Tommy Paul in the semifinals.
