At just 20 years old, the Spaniard burst onto the London grass like a meteor after winning Wimbledon. With a title at Queen’s the same year, he won over English fans, who adore one of the oldest tournaments in tennis history.
The proof came during his arrival at the Queen’s Club this Thursday morning. Before his practice session, the world No. 2 was pleasantly surprised to receive a cake from one of his fans. The player also took selfies and signed autographs, as he usually does.
On the sporting side, Alcaraz began his grass-court season smoothly, defeating world No. 86 Walton (6-4, 7-6), and will face his compatriot Munar in the second round.
