Carlos is ready to fight," announces Ferrero ahead of Alcaraz-Fritz semifinal
Juan Carlos Ferrero, coach of Carlos Alcaraz, shared his thoughts ahead of the Wimbledon semifinal between his player and Taylor Fritz.
For him, this match will be a battle, but Alcaraz is prepared for it. Speaking to Eurosport Spain, he said: "Fritz likes to move the ball around. I think he’s slightly weaker from the baseline and in terms of tennis overall.
On serve, he’s probably better than us. It’ll be a great battle played from the baseline. I predict a long match.
Every match is different. Facing Carlos isn’t the same as playing against Khachanov (Fritz’s quarterfinal opponent).
Some moments may be similar, others not. Emotions come and go. One thing is certain: no matter Fritz’s level, Carlos is ready to fight and has nerves of steel. That’s what matters most.
